SoapGateQ! - Book Catalogue
The Notes Book Catalogue database is very simple by design. It has the book form and four different views used for the different demos available on FlexDomino.net. Two of those views are used to demonstrate SoapGateQ! and its Flex/Flash components. To confirm any changes made with the two Flash applications the page contains a basic Notes Domino web interface to the Book Catalogue database at the bottom of this page.
The first demo shows the use of the basic Flex/Flash web service components (dblookupX() operation) for SoapGateQ! and the use of the Forms component. The latter provides in a document/form workflow and event implementation similar to that of Lotus Notes forms. It automatically executes all required web services to open (read), amend, save and close a Notes document in Flex. In this demo the Flex data grid is designed (MXML component) in the Flash Builder IDE.

Flex/Flash with SoapGateQ! - Views and Forms Components
In the second demo (though visually similar) the data grid is based on the Flex/Flash View component. The latter is reading in the design of a Notes view and dynamically generates a Flex data grid (at runtime) and makes it look and work (almost) exactly like the Notes view the data is accessed from. Similar to the Forms component, the Views component calls all web service operations required.
Default Domino Web Interface
The following iframe shows the standard (out of the box) web interface of Lotus Notes Domino for the Book Catalogue database. You can of course do a lot better in Notes (what you see here is done without any additional web specific development at all). This is just for you to verify whatever you do using the Flash demo applications.
